How it works

Get your API credentials

Sign up to InfoVetted free and upgrade to Check Lite (£6/month) to activate API access. Find your API key in Settings → API. Download the OpenAPI spec and test in the sandbox — no live checks, no charges.

Trigger a check request

POST a check request to the InfoVetted API with the candidate's details and the check type(s) required. The candidate receives an invitation to complete their portion of the check online.

Candidate completes the check

The candidate submits their details and documents via the InfoVetted portal. No paper forms, no manual handling on your side.

Receive results via webhook

Register a webhook endpoint in your InfoVetted settings. When a check completes, InfoVetted POSTs the result to your endpoint — no polling required. Retrieve result documents via the documents endpoint.

How to connect your integration

  1. Create your free InfoVetted account — no credit card required.
  2. Go to Integrations in your portal dashboard.
  3. Go to Settings → API in your dashboard to generate your API key.
  4. Download the OpenAPI spec and explore in your preferred API tool (Postman, Insomnia).
  5. Test in the sandbox environment before going live.
